Green Sea Turtle
If you want to be sure to see Green Sea Turtles on your visit to Hawaii, this is the place to snorkel. You can find numerous turtles feeding along the reefs depending on the tide.

Two Step with Pu'uhonua O Honaunau (Place of Refuge) in the background To the right of the boat ramp is a large flat area of pahoehoe lava. Although there are many places to enter the water, the easiest is at Two Step. There is a large flat step or seat that helps entering and leaving the water. Sitting on the edge of the lava you can see the bright yellow tang. Once in the water there are many species all around the reefs. The turtles can be found off to the left of the bay, over by the refuge. Just watch for boats when crossing in the path of the boat ramp.
