Moor & Gnadenfeld
Mrs. Hattie Plum William, a student of sciology at the University of
Nebraska became interested in the ethnic group of Germans from Russia
that settled in Lincoln, Nebraska. These people became her prime area
of study and she conducted her own census among the Germans from Russia
living in Lincoln. The survey was begun in the late fall of 1913 after
the "beetfielders" had returned to Lincoln from their summer
jobs in the sugar beet fields. The census continued into early 1915. Listed
