Purpose
The purpose of this Volga German web site is to aid the Volga German researcher
in the research of their ancestry. This web site is NOT intended to be authoritative
historically,
there are many well researched books written about the Volga Germans. Rather this site
gathers many sources of information together to provide an overview of what a
researcher needs to
know to begin their journey. It is as accurate and current as possible,
but by no means is it the final word and is constantly growing and evolving. In addition,
this site serves as a starting point for researching other Volga German web sites.
