The sowing of oats is not going well because of the changing weather.
Tuesday Georg Oblaender and Georg Niedens traveled to Shattuck, Ok, to look
at land. They came back Sunday and said they didn't like it there, so they didn't
buy land.
Sunday, the two ministers PJ Krause ad G G Heidebrecht were confirmed by Elder
P Balzer in the Advents Church of Alexanderwohl. Today Karl Ehrlich of Marion
took a load of cattle to Kansas City. He also announced his wife had presented
him with a daughter.
Mr John Laubhahn, who works for Jacob Weber in his store also welcomed a daughter
to his home.
John D Klassen returned yesterday from Oklahoma where he purchased a spring
wagon. He made the journey in 4 days from Cooper.
Today 3 cars (railroad) will leave for Shattuck, which will probably be the
last of this season.
