This picture was taken in 1913 when my father visited his mother, brothers and sisters in Russia. They all accompanied him to the city where he took a train to Saratov. From there a ship home to Canada. Martha had a farewell banquet and that's where this picture was made. My father brought Lydia, Martha and Lottie Schwab back with him. Their parents were to follow as soon as they could sell their business (a flour mill) and property. His mother was bedfast when he left and passed away a few days after he left. Also WW I started that April, a reason they did not come.
