This union was blessed with four children, two sons and two daughters. Preceding her in death were her husband, Fred, her son, John, and her parents. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Dave, Henry, Carl and Jake; by two sisters, Katie and Lizzie (Mrs. Pete Meier). These are the fours sons of Jacob and Hannah Blehm Haffner from Hitchcock that moved to Lodi Calif
Jacob Haffner is the youngest child of Gottfried Haffner and Katherine Elizabeth Winter Haffner.
Ezra Haffner's wife is still alive. I spoke with her this afternoon Her name is Marie Grasmick Haffner she was born and raised in Ordway Colorado and met Ezra in Lodi, Ivan's wife was Selma Haffner they had one son, his name was Gene Haffner, he has since passed away also. Ezra and Marie had no children, Wilbur had two sons and one daughter, Kathy Haffner Johnson and Keith Haffner and Kraig Haffner, in the obit for Wilbur it mentions two other daughters, but Marie, doesn't know who those girls are, she is insistent that Wilbur only had three children No wife or children were mentioned for Reuben, Jake and Hannah both passed away a long time ago, she couldn't remember when. However they are both buried in Lodi CA.

He is survived by his present wife, the former Elizabeth KUXHAUS whom he married December 29, 1957. In addition he is survived by three daughters of his first marriage: Leah, Mrs. Herb Weber; Frieda, Mrs. Reuben Weber, both of Okeene; and Emma, Mrs. Edwin Weber, of Homestead; a sister, Mrs. Henry Rusch, Fairview; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. When but a child of nine years, he came with his parents to Lehigh, Kansas. On April 15, 1888, he was married to Miss Catherine Elizabeth EHRLICH. Through this happy marriage, six girls and three boys were born.. Two of his children were laid to rest before the father. His body was taken from College Place, Wash., to Shattuck, Okla., where most of his relatives reside. Additional Information: Information about Gottfried was given to me by Lavera Eudy and she said they came over in 1876 on SS City of Richmond from Liverpool, Germany to New York. Lavera said she has been to Lehigh, KS, but what proof she has for the boat, etc. I do not know. The year must be right because the Roy Rothe was buried at sea in 1876. Grandma told me that she and Grandpa came over on the same boat. Said he was high German and she low German language. I have an obituary of Gottfried F. Haffner brother of John F. Haffner and son of Gottfried Haffner.

Jacob is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ruth: one daughter, Carol Sue and Husband Ronald Meyer: one son, Lawrence John and his wife Sandra Haffner, two grandsons, Kenneth L Goth and Nathan Goth, one step grandson, Michael J and wife Phyliss Meyer, two step grandchildren, Chelsea and Bobby Meyer, and one brother,David A Haffner and his wife Donna Haffner of St Louis Mo. He leaves behind numerous Pfaffenroth brothers and sisters in law, neices nephews, and great neices and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Jacob was preceded in death by his beloved parents and a brother Carl Haffner ,Jr, one sister Emilie Haffner and one sister in law Mary Haffner. Family interment services will be at the Lake View Memorial Park.
Additional Information: Jacob Haffner seemed to think he and Ruth were not related and could not be. His dad came over about 1900 and all his family was killed in Siberia. His family were Germans from Russia. I never could really visit with him, so finally called and talked to him on the phone. I asked him about Jewish connection. He knew nothing about that, but said he knew that there are a number of Haffners who are Jews living in the St. Louis area. Jacob's father was Carl Haffner and Emilie Reichert his mother. He had no children, but 2 adopted ones. Jacob grew up in the Milwaukee area. He passed away in 1999.

George is buried in the Omega Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery. George immigrated from Russia in 1890. George is probably Gottfried's other brother.

Her husband died on February 28, 1969. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, VERA, her parents and a brother EDWARD. LEOTA is survived by two sons and their wives, RONALD & DOROTHY STEINERT and LEON & EMANUELA STEINERT. Note: VERA had a twin sister, VIRA, who was born dead. Ella (Hamm) Schuber celebrates her 100th birthday today, Aug. 22, at Salem Home with residents, staff, relatives, and friends. She was born in Russia. Ella had a twin sister, Amanda, who died at the age of 89. She and her family came to America in 1906, settling in Michigan. After living there for a short time, the family moved to Kansas. In 1921, she married Solomon (Sollie) SCHUBER. The couple had a double wedding with her brother, William and Sollie's sister, Leah. The couple were farmers living in the Tampa area. They also lived in Hillsboro for a short time. After 38 years of marriage, he died.. She and her husband had one daughter, Irene. Irene and her husband, Warren Brenner, were killed in a boating accident. Ella has two grandchildren, Anita and her husband Richard Miller of LaCanada, Calif.; and Dana and wife Kathy of Champion, Ill. She also has five great-grandchildren, two of whom are married.

After the death of his first wife, whose maiden name was Julia HOFF, he was again united in marriage to Anna HEFFLE in the year 1917. To the first union four children, Bennie, Alex, Mary and Hannah, were born. To the second union, three children, Milda, Orlena, and Leon were born. He came to this country from Russia and settled down at Okeene, OK in the year 1909. He lives to mourn his deeply grieved wife, sons and daughters, a score of relatives and friends. His body was laid to rest in the Shattuck Cemetery.

About 1940, Marti married Eugene L. WALTERS. They started a family with a son, Rick, and daughter, Nancy.. Both, Marti's father and Eugene died in 1975. In 1979, Marti married Gene SANDERS and they made their home on the Sanders family farm in the Potter/Dalton area, while helping raise Gene's children, Debbie, Philip, and Joel. Survivors include her husband, Gene C. Daughter of David and Elizabeth Heffel, was born February 2, 1884, in Dobrinka, State of Saratof, Russia. She was baptized in early infancy and in 1899 she was confirmed in The Evangelical Lutheran Church at the place of her birth. The following year at the age of 16, she came with her family to America to settle on a farm in the Dorrance-Wilson community in Kansas. In 1905 she was united in marriage to David STEINLE at Wilson, Kansas. There were five sons born to this union, 3 of whom preceded her in death. On August 3, 1960 her husband also preceded her in death and she has made her home since then with a son Eugene.

In 1902 she married Christ CRISBENS and in 1909 she came with her husband and family to Claflin, Kansas, where they farmed until the death of her husband October 24, 1924. There were four children by this marriage; three sons, Andy of Salina, Kansas; Sam of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Victor Crisbens, Lansing, Ill., and a daughter, Mrs. Gusteen (Millie) HEINZE, Holyrood, Kansas. In 1927 she was united in marriage to George HEFFEL of Russell, Kansas. Mr. Heffel also preceded her in death in 1949. The youngest of eight children, her known survivors are the four children already named; 3 stepchildren, Mrs. Walter Michaelis and Victor Heffel of Russell, and Robert Heffel of California.
