(From Jeremy Dean Staab, son of Larry D. and Donna Sue Harrison Staab, of Great Bend, Kansas. Jeremy's parents both grew up in Stafford.) My father, Lawrence (Larry) Dahl Staab, of Great Bend, died last year -- on July 1st of 2002. He was, in fact, born in Hays, Kansas, but the Hays Daily News obit got his middle initial wrong and a few other things. You have a listing for a Gerald Staab who only lived ONE day. The website says the info was taken from the gravestone in Severin. This baby, who only lived one day in 1941, was my dad's oldest brother and the son of my grandparents, Seri & Isabelle (Schmeidler) Staab, of Stafford (orginally from Ellis County). They kept the same name for their second baby - "Gerald" (or "Jerry" of Derby, Kansas). I'm pretty sure that Jacob Staab was my Geat-Grandfather -- the father of my Grandpa Seri Staab, of Stafford.
