A mail list for those interested in Germans from Russia genealogy,
family research and related topics oriented specifically to the Volga Valley area
of Russia. These people are also know as Volga Deutsch or Volga Germans.
This list does NOT cover the German Russians of South Russia, which include
the Black Sea, Bessarabia, Odessa, Crimea and possibly Volhynia.

Guidelines
- When you send your first message, please put a descriptive title
in the SUBJECT line, such as "Schmidt of Norka", please try not to
leave the subject blank or vague such as "genealogy" or
"need help".
- Also please SIGN your full name to the message, we are a group of
individuals helping one another, and we like to know who we are talking
to.
- Do not try to regulate this list or impose any other rules or conditions
upon this list. If you have any concerns about postings, content etc.
take it up with the listowner,

you will receive a copy of the message.

GER-VOLGA-D is for a digest of several accumulated messages to be
delivered to your e-mail address at one time. As each subscriber to
the list sends messages to the list address, they are put into a digest
to be delivered later. The digest is generated approximately once
a day and delivered to digest subscribers. This option is handy for
people who don't want multiple messages to accumulate in their mail
box.
